The XTM tunnel-hull design creates a mixture of aero and
hydrodynamic forces which causes an almost flying effect
at full speeds. The tunnel hull helps to stabilize the boat
when running in rough water, and to maintain a level angle
attack even when it is airborne. The XTM enters and exits
the water on a level plane and when returning to the water,
the tunnel hull compresses the air underneath, thereby,
softening the landing. The hull is based upon exact planing
surfaces to minimize wetted areas and further reduce
water resistance by causing air bubbles and turbulence,
providing a faster surface for the XTM to run on.
